Welcome to the Redmond High School National Honor Society!
SENIORS (Class of 2014): Community service hours will be due in May 5, 2014. In order to receive an honor cord at graduation, all hours and dues must be submitted by this date. (Check the "Submitted Hours" tab above. For seniors to have fully completed hours and dues, you must have paid $10 in total fees, and have at least 14 IN-SCHOOL HOURS, and 16 additional hours of community service (30 hours over your high school career), which can all be in-school hours as well.) *
JUNIORS (Class of 2015): Your hours are due at the end of the school year. Total hours accrue over the course of high school (You can roll over hours between years to meet the total required by senior year)
SOPHOMORES/FRESHMEN (Classes of 2016 & 2017): Note that membership in Honor Society in Junior High does NOT automatically rollover when students enter high school. For more information on how to apply to NHS as a sophomore or freshman, see the “Applying Members” page.

Upcoming Events & Volunteer Opportunities
> Redmond Historical Society: volunteer(s) are needed to help the Redmond Historical Society convert VHS tapes to digital files. If you know how to do this and are good with technology then email Ben Choe at [email protected] for more details.
> Redmond Boys & Girls Club: The Redmond Boys & Girls Club is always looking for volunteers to assist elementary school kids in things such as games, teen nights, coaching, advising, etc. Having fun and playing games with kids is a great way to get your volunteer hours! > Cleaning the Courtyard at RHS: The Courtyard Cleanup Crew and Mr. Bunnell are looking for help cleaning up the courtyard on Thursdays during lunch. It'll only take 20 minutes and you will be helping out the school's janitors that clean up our messes everyday. Simply go to Mr. Bunnell's room (E103) and ask to join the Crew! (IN-SCHOOL HOURS)
> The OId Redmond Firehouse and YABA : The Old Redmond Firehouse is a teen center located in downtown Redmond that sponsors tons of community events alongside YABA (Youth Advisory Board Advocacy)
> Skate Clinic: If you know how to skateboard, come to the skate clinic in Redmond and help teach kids how to skate with local Redmond skateboarder and our president Ben Choe! Email him at [email protected] for more details!
> Honor Society Tutoring: We are looking for tutors. Meet in the upper C-Wing in room C 212 weekdays after school. This is a great way to get service hours for tutoring. Stay 30 minutes and if there are no students who need help, you get a full hour that will count for your required seven in-school hours. (IN-SCHOOL HOURS)
> Youth Basketball Coaches: Must be at least 18 years old. The purpose of the youth basketball league is to encourage young athletes to learn about the sport, develop their basketball skills, and learn to interact with other children in a positive manner. Coaching opportunities available for boys and girls grades 1-7. Time commitment includes 1-2 weekly evening practices and 1 game on Saturdays. The league runs November through the end of February. > Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center: This organization provides therapeutic horse back riding to kids and adults with disabilities. In order to increase safety at their facilities volunteers are needed to fill in muddy areas with gravel during the week of February 17th. Possible dates for this project are February 17th - 19th. Contact Jeffrey Isaacson at [email protected] for more information.
> Troop Support Program: The Troop Support Program provides comfort boxes to our troops on the front lines in Afghanistan. This program is completely volunteer based and is always welcoming more volunteers. If you are interested, contact either Kristen Moore at [email protected] or Chairman John Kenny at
