Upcoming Events & Volunteer Opportunities

> The Redmond Rotary needs two volunteers willing to help the Seattle to Spokane bike ride,  July 17-23. The main responsibilities will be to load and unload the luggage of the people that are participating  over 5 days of travel .  The volunteers would be camping with the other participants during the trip.  This is a serious commitment, and will demand significant physical exertion (in terms of loading and unloading luggage). If you are interested, please email david.woodall@lwtech.edu.  (Out-of-school hours)

> Family Net 5 week Strengthening Families program - Redmond Elementary that will run every Monday, from April 23rd  through May 21st.   Each class will go from 5:30pm until 8:00pm.  Families have dinner together (5:30-6:00pm) and then split up afterwards into parent groups and youth groups.   The youth group is going to focus on peer pressure, self-esteem, parent relationships, etc. They are looking for 1-3 mature high school students to help with the youth group - participate in the activities, help the younger kids stay on track, and set an example for them.  Volunteers can eat dinner with the program at 5:30pm before the group starts and then leave by 7pm (if they need to get home).   Please email Nicole Hollinsworth at nhollinsworth@lwsd.org if you are interested.   (IN-SCHOOL HOURS)

> Lake Washington Schools Foundation luncheon - Wednesday, May 23. They need students volunteers to act as waitstaff.  You get in-school hours plus you get excused from class for part of the day!  This has been a really fun event in the past, and the community loves to see RHS students there.  Email Ms. Richard at lrichard@lwsd.org if you are interested. (IN-SCHOOL HOURS)

Its a great way to get hours in and meet new people and get to know special education kids plus the club pays for all the outings. Our meetings are MONDAYS in Ms. Ewing's room"  (IN-SCHOOL HOURS)
