How To Apply


It is important to understand that sophomores must complete one semester in high school before applying. You do not need to apply during first semester. However, you should definitely build up your application by performing well in school and participating in a wide variety of extracurricular activities and community service opportunities. The official requirements for becoming a member include: 
  • 3.5 Cumulative High School GPA (9th Grade and the first semester of 10th grade)

  • Fulfillment of the NHS goals of “Character,” “Service,” and Leadership. 


 As soon as first semester grades are available, Ms. Richard will begin accepting completed applications. Be detailed and thorough on your application. We want to know why you deserve to be in this club. Also, note that you will need a recommendation letter from one of your teachers. There will be more detailed instructions about everything within the application itself. Applications are due by Wednesday, February 29. We will not accept any late applications.
